Teen Programming

As our members become teens, their needs change and the services we provide at our Clubs must meet those needs. Our Clubs provide members with the tools and guidance they need to resist negative influences and stay on a productive path.

Teen Programming

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia are committed to providing innovative teen programming for our members. We recognize that our teen population is comprised of at-risk youth that need a positive, safe place to avoid the negative influences of the dangerous streets. Through new and expanded programs, staff training, and ongoing programmatic evaluation, we challenge and encourage our teens as they navigate the paths to their future.

Some of the ways we serve our teen population:

By offering innovative, time-tested programs, such as Goals for Graduation, Keystone Clubs, Money Matters, Triple Play, Junior staff, and Club Tech

By hiring, training, and retaining qualified staff.

By measuring the outcomes of each of our programs in order to allow us to better gauge the effectiveness of each program in developing our members in a wide variety of areas, including academic knowledge and changes in attitudes and behaviors.

By targeting underserved youth in neighborhoods without a Club presence through partnerships with government and other nonprofit entities.
