April 23, 2019 (Philadelphia, PA)-On April 11th and 12th Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia hosted our 7th annual Philly Showcase of Wine, Cheese and Beer, raising over $2 million for Philadelphia’s kids! The festivities kicked off on Thursday April 11th and the Union League of Philadelphia as Event Chairs Coach Doug Pederson, Jeannie Pederson and Coach Dick Vermeil led over 450 attendees in honoring Howie Roseman, the Eagles’ Executive VP of Football Operations, for his leadership on and on and off the field as a Super Bowl champion and a champion for Philadelphia’s youth. This elegant black-tie dinner, presented by Lincoln Financial Group, featured a gourmet 4 course meal with wine pairings from presenting winemaker, Vermeil Wines and decadent cheese from presenting cheesemaker, BelGioioso Cheese. Guests enjoyed an open bar and an elite live-auction, while raising funds to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia’s Literacy Initiative. Over 100 supporters raised their paddles, donating various amounts, to help ensure that youth across Philadelphia have the tools and resources to reach their full potential. On Friday April 12th, the celebration moved to the PA Convention Center as over 3,500 attendees gathered for the Philly Showcase of Wine Cheese & Beer. With over 30 vendors, this event was Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia’s most successful showcase yet. Guests enjoyed hundreds of wines, beers, cheese and specialty foods from purveyors including: BelGioioso Cheese, Bucks County Brewery, Cappuccio’s Meats, Conshohocken Brewing Company, Conshohocken Italian Bakery, Delicato Family Vineyards, Dietz & Watson, Full Spirited Flavours, General Mills, Herr Foods, Highway Manor Brewing, iI Giardino Italian Cuisine, Iron Hill Brewery, J&J Snack Foods Corp., La Colombe Coffee Roasters, Lee’s Hoagie House, Locust Lane Craft Brewery, Mingle Mocktails, Muller, Inc., Original 13 Ciderworks, Oteri’s Italian Bakery, Passanante’s Home Food Service, Primo Water Ice, Procacci Brothers, Ramona Susan’s Bake Shop, Saint Benjamin Brewing Company, Shake Shack, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Trinchero Family Estates , Vermeil Wines, while celebrating Howie Roseman and raising funds to support Philadelphia’s kids and communities. With the leadership of Howie Roseman, Coach Doug and Jeannie Pederson and Coach Dick Vermeil, the Coach’s Private Reserve Dinner and Philly Showcase of Wine, Cheese and Beer raised over $2 million to ensure that every child in Philadelphia has access to a Great Future!
