Arts & Culture

Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia's arts and culture program for Philadelphia's youth helps develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, enabling them to excel emotionally, academically, and professionally.

Media Making

Media Making teaches creative expression by engaging members in experiencing, creating, sharing, and editing digital media. The project-based activities introduce members to photography, audio production, video production, and design. Envisioning and developing projects gives members the opportunity to hone their creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Culinary Arts

Our commercial kitchens enable Clubs to offer a variety of culinary arts classes for all ages. Through our baking and cooking classes youth learn how to work responsibly and safely in a kitchen, the framework of healthy eating, and how to make meals and treats from scratch

ImageMakers is a year-round program that helps Club members ages 6-18 learn the art and science of photography through multiple categories: Culture and Tradition, Portraits, Nature and Surroundings, Fashion and Style, and Editing and Filter. Photographs are displayed at local and regional exhibits around the world.

National Fine Arts Exhibit

This year-round program encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 6 to 18 through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture displayed at local and regional exhibits.

DramaMatters Afterschool
