Program Expansion
- Since 2019, we have been awarded over $5 million in funding to launch programs 10 new school locations
- In January 2023, we were awarded funding to expand our teen program hours, enabling us to stay open until 9pm on Fridays and from 5pm to 10pm on Saturdays. From 2022 to 2025, our teen enrollment increased by 113%
- Since 2018, Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia’s Literacy Leadership team has led a national training program to introduce Multi-sensory Literacy Programming to other youth-serving organizations nationwide. Over the last several years, we have trained over 110 individuals from 25 organizations in multi-sensory literacy programming, reaching more than 1,000 youth annually.
Capital Improvements
- Our state-of-the-art Ralph J Roberts Club in Germantown opened in April 2022. This facility represents a $16 million dollar investment for Philadelphia’s kids, featuring an Art Studio, Teen Center, STEM Lab, Literacy Center, Kids Café, Outdoor Recreation Complex and more. In fall 2024, we created the Henry Reed Hatfield Outdoor Recreation complex in Nicetown, transforming a dilapidated field into a full-service recreation area featuring a baseball field, soccer field, basketball court, and field house.
- Since launching our Bold Change for Kids campaign in 2015, we have completely transformed our facilites, investing over $25 million to create safe, welcoming spaces featuring, new Literacy Centers, STEM Labs, Tech Centers, Art Studios and Kids Cafes.
Fiscal Sustainability
- In May 2025, we hosted our 13th annual Philly Showcase of Wine, Cheese & Beer, raising over $3.1 million for Philadelphia’s youth and attracting more sponsors than ever before!
- Since 2013, we have increased our Net Assets by over $13 million, quintupled the size of our endowment and cummulatively raised over $163 million.
